Veils are special because most women will only wear a veil once in her life. When our brides put on a veil for the first time, something magical happens. They realize they are “true bride” and are about to marry their soulmate. Its a very emotional time for a lot of our brides.
Picking a veil isn’t the easiest task. Veils come in all sizes and shapes.
LENGTH
1. Birdcage- made of netting instead of toole, covers just the face.

2. Shoulder length

3. Elbow length

4. Fingertip length

5. Ballet length

6. Chapel length

7. Cathedral length

Good things to know about veils
1. If you are wearing your mother’s or an heirloom veil, DON’T PANIC. If they are not properly preserved, veils will color with time. Your dress is not going to perfectly your veil, don’t try to dye, bleach, or wash your veil, it will not turn out good. It is more important to wear something on your special day which belonged to someone you love, rather then try to perfectly match color.
2. BLUSHERS are an extra layer of fabric which covers the face when walking down the aisle. “To blush or not to blush” is the most common argument we have between brides and mothers. Most brides will either know if they want one or not. From experience, its split about 50/50
3. Most brides will take their veil off after the ceremony, especially if it is longer than finger tip length. Try switching to something fun like a flower or a sparkly hair comb.
4. Steam that veil! Before you go down the aisle, please please please have someone steam it. A household steamer will do the job, make sure you go left to right and not up and down, as this will stretch the fabric. Steaming will take the wrinkles out, and make the toole lay better.

This week we are featuring “Angelica” from Bliss by Monique Lhuillier. Angelica is one our FAVORITE gowns, she is so sweet and darling. Angelica has a slight dip in the neckline with lace scalloping shyly peaking out. The bodice is covered in ruched lace, where it comes to the natural waistline. The waist has the sweetest horse-hair ribbon bow to accentuate the waist. This A-line dress flares out with a beautiful toole skirt.
Angelica is definitely that “princess fairy tale” dress.

We really wish you could see this dress in person, it is STUNNING. These pictures do not do not do her justice at all. This gorgeous dress, by Marisa, is named “Morgan.”
Morgan is full lace with a fit and flare silhouette. The lace on Morgan is to DIE FOR. It is a embroidered alencon lace with scalloping on the sweet heart neckline and bottom hem. Morgan has the fit and shape Marisa is famous for. The back of Morgan is just as beautiful as the front. Down the back are buttons which cover the zipper. The back has a beautiful pleated pattern, almost acting as a mock bustle. The underlay train ends at the floor, but the lace beautifully flows past the underlay and follows elegantly behind.

Today we are featuring our new “Piper” by Tara Keely. This season peplums are forecasted to be a new trend. Piper has a beautiful peplum skirt, which will add shape any silhouette. She has a sweetheart neckline with subtle lace scalloping. The entire bodice is lace with a satin ribbon sash to accentuate the waist. The skirt is fitted with a beautiful train that follows.
If you think Piper is your girl, give us a call to try her on! Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends!

This week we are featuring “Lorraine” by Tara Keely. Lorraine is definitely the dress you want if you want that “wow factor.” She’s the kind of girl whose got some personality and will let you show off your curvaceous figure. Lorraine is categorized as a mermaid silhouette, most fitting for woman who want to show off their hour glass curves.
The bodice of the dress is all lace with a sweetheart neckline and a keyhole back. The waist is accentuated by a champagne belt with a beautiful flower detail. The bottom flares out with multiple layers of tulle and crinoline.
Lorraine is not for the faint of heart. But if you think you got what it takes, come on in and try her on today!
If I ever get married again, there will be no shoes allowed at the (hopefully outdoor) wedding, I’m wearing green, and someone’s going to braid...
Love the white seersucker and white dress combination. Super summery and stunning.
So I was thinking about the wedding shoes I want, and they have to be silver to match my dress; these are my options!!
What do you guys think?
